    On the Goldcar website enter the airport you will be collecting your rental from, as well as the date and time you will be collecting and returning the vehicle.

What is a Smart return and how can it save me money?

This means that you have hired the car under the ‘Smart Rate’ pricing, which uses the Flex Fuel system. What this means is you get the car with a full tank of gas, you put down a deposit for the fuel at a rate set by Goldcar, and then when you return the car they refund you the amount of gas that was not used. If you refill the car before returning it, you will be refunded the full deposit amount. Typically local gas station fuel prices will be much better than the ones charged by a car hire company, so this is the most cost-effective option.

Is it better to hire a car online or at the airport?

Even if you only reserve your car a few hours ahead of time you will save money by booking online. In general, the further ahead you reserve your car hire, the bigger the discount you will receive.

Refund Policy

  • Normal rate reservations have free cancellation up until 24 hours prior
  • Discounted Rate (ie. Crazy Smart Rate) reservations are non-refundable
  • Cancellations can be completed by logging in to the client area. Click on My Goldcar, and then Active Reservations. Click on ‘Cancel Reservation’ for the booking you want to cancel. A panel will open with options to modify or cancel the booking, click on the cancel button. Finally, click on ‘Apply Changes’ to finalize the cancellation.
  • Refunds will not be granted for no-shows, you must cancel your booking online with at least 24 hours notice
